The bad thing about electrical problems is that they usually do not give you any warning.  One minute you're watching television, the kids are playing video games, and everything is fine.  Then, suddenly the lights are out, the kids are complaining, and there doesn’t seem to be anything you can do about it.  However, there is a bright side – no pun intended. 

Sometimes there are a few small things that you can take care of yourself without having to call out an electrician or while waiting for the service person to show up.  Read the questions below and see if any of these issues are happening in your home.  Then see if the quick remedy might be something you can handle until we get there.
